Fashion Illustration: Turkish Trousers

Hello Everyone, I haven't posted for a while because of all the trips and events this summer!
I am hoping to share some of them with you, however I did manage to draw a quick sketch of some shiny Turkish Trousers. The thing I love about these pants, western culture picked these up as something that women can exercise in.  During this time frame women's outfits were primarily dresses. Being as the first accepted pants for women to wear makes me love them even more!

What's better than thanksgiving than some party favors?

I made paper turkey glasses, so may people have been asking where did you get the idea?

It started with Thanksgiving apparel and having a Photo Booth and ended with these perfect party treats! Honestly my mind goes somewhere and ends up with an amazing idea.

So I found some ray ban cutout glasses had some illustrator fun and came out with the perfect thanksgiving treat! 

Honestly, what was I thinking? Everything hilarious that's what :)

Maybe I need some angry eye pie glasses.  Who knows, maybe I will never make something as radical again.  I would like to claim myself as a genius, but I've probably just watched way too many episodes of Gilmore Girls recently.

I just made a template and cut it out with scissors, my friend later went in with a sharpie to fill in the white if you want to make it look fancy but after cutting out 19 of these my hands hurt.

Fashion Illustration Suno SS15

This new drawing had to be stopped in the middle because my camera battery ran out, but it also was probably the most time consuming one to make a video.  Not only that I try to do my own designs so it was super fun drawing someone's dress I loved.  Suno had an amazing SS runway, and I wanted to share it in my own way!

Play Poster

Recently, I was asked to do graphic work for my friend who has been directing for a new play.  It is such a fun thing to see her work so hard while living in NYC. She is the same one I visited for Memorial Day weekend. The play is a dark edgy comedy it has a circus theme to it so in the populous NYC, I thought a poster that captured that and was striking would be eye catching.  I worked super hard on both the website logos and art as well as the play poster!!

Fashion Illustration: Ball Gown

So I understand this is a bit late to put on here, but here you go! I did this as a ball gown and wanted to show ruffles and some lace.  It was a very quick illustration. It was for an Art trade.  Occasionally I love getting a spur of the moment project. Lately it feels like all my projects are spur of the moment!
I enjoyed editing this one, I like the title pages and the transitions I have been playing with.  I need to buy some music I can use though.

TBT: CARTOONS!

So some of you know that I watch cartoons, and I adore them.  I was thinking about possibly becoming a cartoonist but I chose fashion design instead.  I still love cartoons, it's defiantly from my dad.  It is one thing we completely bonded over as I grew up.   We would wake up so early to watch Saturday mornings cartoons my dad and I would catch the end of the last bits of Adult Swim.

Now a days I watch them on my own but they still make me super happy.  I like drawing cartoons for my Youtube because I prefer it more than fashion drawing.

TBT: Winter outfit

Fall is coming around the corner, though I want it to stay warm forever, seasons happen in Minneapolis.

I did this one last winter.  I do really enjoy this sketch and a doing something with cute shoes.  I realized i should do more with backgrounds eventually.

here it is pencil heavy and  working with different textures.  This was just an experimental one.

And of course i did a video on it too!

How to draw Charmander

Pokemon are always just freaking adorbs!

Lets be honest if it wasn't for my friend wanting to draw Charmander, I would choose Eevee. :)

Anyways, here is my final drawing.  I used AD markers and a sharpie pen!
Of course the video was actually a blast to make. To be honest cartoon drawings are my favorite since they're easy and always so energetic and it's something I love to draw!!

Quick project

It was my coworker's bday yesterday so instead of a normal gift or card, I spent a little extra time drawing her kitty.  Though Toby is no longer with us she still talks about how much she loved him.
