Beyonce Formation tour Shirts

Beyonce came to Minneapolis.  I am not one to go to big shows, but my friends and I call eachother #wearebeyonce. It came about going to a dance showcase. I had to go to the bathroom so bad, and my friends told me it was to the left.  Since rushing I ended up in the dancer only bathrooms.  When I came out there was a dance group huddled together I almost ignored it until i heard them say "we are beyonce!" It kept getting louder and louder. "We Are Beyonce, WE ARE BEYONCE! WE ARE BEYONCE!" I found great amusement in this ran back and told my friends immediately of the wonderful thing I saw.  When they came out to dance all their songs were Beyonce! That same week my friend changed our facebook chat group to #wearebeyonce. Since then we call eachother beyonces.  Such as "let me ask the beyonces about what is happening", "oh the beyonces are going here" I think you get the idea.
So when Beyonce's tour on sale of course I felt like I needed to go.
Of course with this event I wanted to make tees.  I get it I should want to save up for a tour tee but I really wanted something customized. With lithographs and Stencils I loved how these shirts came out! A little faded and highs and lows I love the vintage feel with still being Beyonce appropriate.

Things I did during work

All Photos credited to Teresa Winslow :)
Hello all since I haven't posted a  video in a while, don't worry I'm in progress for it. I decided to show you what else I have been up to through work.  It's almost like field trips during high school since you spend most of your time with people you work with. I tried to make it mostly pictures of me since I'm not getting permission from my coworkers.

The first field trip was a volunteer event for special spaces back in November. It was for an 11 year old that lived with 7 siblings in a 3 bedroom house and shared the bedroom with her 2 sisters. She was on oxygen at all times, so there were tanks on every floor.  It was such a fun event overall and afterwards we wet to SR Harris, this is a super cool warehouse of fabrics.

The second field trip was to see the Faribault Mills! The shop and offices were beautiful and the factory had all the machines from WWII.  It was amazing to see how things are produced.  Target recently did a collaboration with them.  I have the clutch bag!  It was cool to see that they did most of the navy blankets.  They only use wool made in America, and then any scraps go into the navy blankets so not much is wasted! If you don't know this brand check them out!

I know this was a bit different but it's super fun and these things are what inspire me at work.
Hope you enjoy, see you next time my little creators!

Throw Back Thursday: School Project

I am in the works of gathering wonderful outfits for all of you. So instead of showing you an old movie. I present a snapshot of a project I did.  The criteria was take a mega trend and come up with a collection based off of that. The thing I love about this collection is it's all knitted! Talk about super comfy work wear.

I hope you guys liked this little different approach.  I actually had to redo all these croquis again because I didn't back up and my flash drive broke.  Don't worry I cried a ton with those 10 hours of work no sleep cost me.  It took me a while to understand how much I actually did like this project because doing women's wear isn't my favorite thing to work on.

Do you guys have any projects that you finished and loved?
See you next time my little creators!!

Jungle Dress: Fashion Illustration

Occasionally you find inspiration in the most interesting places.  I found this image on google plus! I love the shine and the movement. I took a chance and decided to draw it. I didn't know who did this at first but googling is amazing and I was able to figure out where it was from! I hate not giving credit to where it needs to be given.

Winter loving clothes I love!

Gap Dress $$ Woolrich Coat $$$$ Aritzia Leggings $$ Nordstrom Boots $$$ Viska Afton Backpack $$$

Winter is actually here! especially in Minnesota you need the right gear.  Last year I was shocked to know my battery was fine but one morning my car's gas froze! I have some Sorel boots but I did about 3 hours of research for the coat I really want.  I know the price point is pretty high but I would rather not get close to frost bite again while waiting for the bus.  I also own the gap dress and have worn it about 4 times in a few months so I love it.  I hope you guys like some suggestions.  I feel as if it is more important to try to look cute when you're in a tundra and stuck inside most of the winter.
Hope you guys enjoy!! See you next time my little creators!!
